A Lawton man is wanted for allegations he stole steel beams from a construction company.
A felony arrest warrant was issued Wednesday in Comanche County District Court for Tony Allen Ball, 40, for a count of grand larceny, records indicate.
Lawton Police Detective Michael Arzola was investigating building supplies from Cox Construction being stolen at No. 1 Fort Sill Boulevard. The owner said he was renovating the home at the address and had building materials shipped to the address and stored in the open until needed, the warrant affidavit states.
Over the course of three days between May 5 and 8, a man driving a silver Chevrolet Silverado was witnessed taking several steel beams. The truck tag returned to Ball, the affidavit states.
On Aug. 30, Arzola stated he went to Ball’s home at 309 SW I and attempted to speak with him. Ball was seen fleeing out the back of the home in another pickup registered to him, according to the affidavit.
Arzola learned Ball had sold the steel beams as scrap metal for $142.40 on May 9.
A $50,000 cash warrant bond was issued upon Ball’s arrest.
