Tickets are on sale for the 144th birthday celebration of Mattie Beal Payne.
The Lawton Heritage Association will celebrate her birthday with an afternoon tea from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the historic Mattie Beal Home, 1008 SW 5th Street. Guests will enjoy table-side service and will be served various fruits, handcrafted sandwiches, scones, cookies, homemade jam, cream and tea.
Tickets are $25 and will be sold through Eventbrite, by Venmo: Lawton Heritage Association @MattieBealHome, or by emailing [email protected]. Tickets will be sold through Thursday.
