Lawton police are investigating a Tuesday morning wreck with a stopped cement truck that killed one and hospitalized two others.
A westbound cement truck was stopped at the red light at the intersection of East Lee Boulevard and Southeast 45th Street at 6:10 a.m. when another vehicle struck it from behind, according to Sgt. Christopher Blessing, Lawton Police information officer. Three people were in the vehicle that struck the cement truck.
One person was flown to a hospital for serious injuries and two others were transported by EMS to a local hospital where one person was pronounced dead, Blessing said.
The driver of the cement truck did not sustain any injuries.
The LPD Traffic Division is investigating.
