Lawton Public Schools Chief Financial Officer Lance Gibbs has been named the 2023 Oklahoma Association for School Administrators (OASA) District #13 Asst. Supt/Central Office Administrator of the Year.
He will be recognized at the Cooperative Council for Oklahoma School Administration (CCOSA) Summer Leadership Conference on June 14-16.
“I am proud to live and work in Lawton serving Lawton Public Schools’ students,” Gibbs said about the honor. “There are so many great administrators serving our students in Lawton and in District 13. I am honored that my peers voted me to represent them as the OASA District 13 Assistant Superintendent/Central Office Administrator of the year.”
Each year the Oklahoma Association for School Administrators recognizes school leaders. Members submit the names of leaders in their districts and an election is held to select the leader for the Oklahoma Association for School Administrators district.
OASA has 20 Districts that consist of multiple counties. Eligible OASA members are nominated and selected by their peers in their OASA District.
Gibbs now has the opportunity to submit an application for the State Asst. Supt/Central Office Administrator of the Year Award.
