Jeff Janssen’s new Attention Star S2 proved its worth last week, putting him in the spotlight with a perfect 300 game and an 800 series. Drawing plenty of attention, Janssen bowled games of 257, 300, and 256 in the His and Hers league at Thunderbird Lanes on Tuesday night, racking up an im-pressive 813 series with his brand-new “out-of-the-box” RotoGrip Attention Star S2.

With 27 perfect games and 11 career 800 series under his belt, it’s clear that it’s not always the ball bringing the attention.

Tyler Price neared the 800 mark with a 779 effort in the TNT league, rolling 279, 246, and 254. Next up was Kellan Hill, who notched games of 257, 200, and 279 for a 736, and Robert Copeland with a 717 effort that included games of 235, 225, and 257.

Joe Haywood had a solid set on Monday night in the Early Birds league, posting 749 on games of 235, 277, and 237. Trailing close behind was Damon Claunch with 223, 258, and 238 for a total of 719.

Matt Casey headed up the Suburban league at Twin Oaks with a 745 effort, rolling games of 267, 212, and 266. Following him were Michael Gillian and Tory Morales, both closing out the night with a total of 710. Gillian’s set was boosted by a high game of 276, while Morales finished an average evening with games of 222, 231, and 257.

Dylan Johnson made the cut at 706, thanks to a 279 middle game, and Megan McAnally came up just shy of 700 with games of 228, 247, and 223 for a 698.

Bowler of the Week Jeff Janssen also took top honors in senior league play with a 712 set from the Entertainers league, featuring games of 213, 238, and 256.

The Tuesday Night Mixed league reported a handful of 700 series scores. Leading the pack was Na-thanial Hall, who bowled off a 184 average to achieve a career-high first 700 series of 711. Hall rolled games of 224, 252, and 235 to make the memorable set.

Andrea Halstead topped the ladies’ leaderboard with a 704 series, rolling games of 263, 245, and 196. Meanwhile, Bill Kaplan posted the same total with games of 236, 247, and 221.

Finishing up with this week’s big scores, we return to the His and Hers league, where Troy Hardin notched a 710 on games of 241, 226, and 243. Caden Burk followed with games of 247, 224, and 235 for a 706, and Camden Sublett tallied a 704 series, rolling games of 278, 213, and 213.

Croft tops youth charts with 730 set

It was a slow week in youth league play with bowlers off for spring break. Of those on hand, Sympho-ny Smith made it to the top of the honor roll with a 556 for the high series and Trevor Richardson got high game honors for a 207 both from the TBird Legends.

DJ Scott continued his reign it the TBird HotShots, scoring 159, 170 and 191 to cap off a 520 set and Ali Biscaino led in the TOBC Oak Trees with a 518 that went 143, 196 and 179.
