A quartet of Comanche County Detention Center inmates are accused of starting a riot on Jan. 28.
The men were each charged with felony counts of rioting, incitement to riot and conspiracy Comanche County District Court. Those charged: Ernest Lane, 20; Terrell Nickle Brandon, 29; Anthony Lee Harrison, 20; and Derrick D. Lyles Jr., 19, records indicate.
According to the probable cause affidavit, the men refused to return to their housing unit around 8 p.m. Jan. 28 and tried to get into another cell to assault another inmate.
Lane has been in the jail since Sept. 10, 2024, after being charged with possession of a firearm while on probation.
Brandon, who was convicted in February 2016 for a count of second-degree robbery by force or fear has been in the jail since Nov. 11, 2024, on a bench warrant issued during a revocation hearing he failed to attend on Dec. 30, 2019, records indicate.
Harrison has been held in the jail since Sept. 17, 2024, for charges of possession of firearms during probation and marijuana possession.
Lyles has been in the jail since May 2, 2024, after being charged with first-degree murder for the April 23, 2024, shooting death of Donovan Moncree.
