An arrest warrant was issued Wednesday for a 40-year-old Lawton man accused of having sex with his girlfriend’s 15-year-old sister and not telling her he was HIV+.
The Comanche County District Court issued a felony arrest warrant for Marcus Demond Bush for felony counts of second-degree rape and unlawful use of a telephone to facilitate the commission of child sex abuse, records indicate. The rape count is punishable by up to 15 years in prison.
Police became involved when the girl’s mother witnessed Bush and the girl walk into her bedroom followed by sounds of the two having sex, the warrant affidavit states. The grandmother called the girl’s mother and told her what happened and she, in turn, called the girl’s adult sister, who was also Bush’s girlfriend, and they admitted what happened when confronted, Lawton Police Detective Abe Woelfel stated.
The girl spoke with the detective and she said she was in love with Bush and they’d been having sex since she was 13, the affidavit states. She said they’d been together approximately 15 times.
A search warrant for Bush’s phone was received; the phone had been collected in an unrelated investigation, Woelfel stated. There were messages about planning to meet up for the purpose of having sex. Through the course of the investigation, it was learned Bush has Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and hadn’t told the girl, according to the affidavit.
A $250,000 cash warrant bond was issued upon Bush’s arrest.
