The Wichita Mountains Quilt Guild will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church West, 7302 Cache Road.
This month’s theme, “All About Bags,” will dive into the art of crafting beautiful, functional bags with expert tips and tricks to ensure success, club members said. Guests are welcome.
The highlight of the evening will be a trunk show by Karolyn Vaughn, a seasoned quilter with a wealth of experience in bag-making. Vaughn will showcase a collection of handmade bags and share techniques to help attendees master the craft. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced sewist, you’ll walk away with new insights and inspiration to tackle your next bag project with confidence, members said.
Earlier in the day, the Guild invites members and guests to a Sew Social starting at 1 p.m. Participants should bring their sewing machine and supplies to join in on a collaborative effort to create charity quilts. This session will focus on continuing work on the popular Potato Chip quilts and layering quilts in preparation for quilting.
