DUNCAN — A well-known author will be speaking and indulging in a question-and-answer session on March 6 at New Hope Baptist Church West in Duncan.
The church will host Dr. Gary Chapman for the event that begins at 6:30 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. at 380 S. 42nd Street in Duncan.

After Dr.Chapman speaks there will be a question and answer period with a book signing to follow. Dr.Chapman recommends “The Five Love Languages,” “The Five Love Languages of Children,” and “The Five Love Languages of Teenagers” for the event. Books may be purchased online at Amazon.com. Dr. Chapman is an experience and well-respected family counselor and a well-known author, having written more than 50 books published in 50 languages and selling more than 20 million copies. He hosts a nationally syndicated radio program, “A Love Language Minute,” and a Saturday morning program, “Building Relationships with Dr. Gary Chapman” that airs on more than 400 stations.
He has been directly involved in counseling for more than 40 years and serves as the pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in North Carolina.
Dr. Chapman focuses his presentations on the concept that people express and receive love differently through five primary “love languages”: words of affirmation, acts of service, quality time, physical touch and receiving gifts. He imparts wisdom on how to build stronger relationships by communicating through their love language.
