United Way is hosting the first meeting in its nonprofit leadership empowerment series from 10 a.m. to noon Friday in FISTA, located in Central Plaza at 200 SW C Ave.
The series’ first guest is Jeri Holmes, Nonprofit Solutions founder, who provides legal and operational guidance to nonprofit organizations, ensuring compliance, sustainability, and effective leadership, according to the press release.
The exclusive session is designed for nonprofit executive teams and board members, with the goal of equipping them with the knowledge and tools to work together effectively.
Topics of the series will include best practices and board governance, legal responsibilities and nonprofit leadership, as well as strategies for strengthening board-staff relationships.
“The event will focus on best practices and regulatory compliance,” explained Carol Herrick, Director of Community Engagement at United Way of Southwest Oklahoma.
The series will include many non-profits from the local area, those who work with nonprofit boards, and those who have considered joining a nonprofit board.
Those interested in attending or with questions can contact Carol Herrick at 580-583-9086. Registration is $25.
