DALLAS—Dallas Baptist is among the Lone Star Conference men’s basketball leaders but the hosts had to fight to finally subdue Cameron, 91-82, Saturday afternoon.
DBU men are 13-2 in the LSC while Cameron is 4-11 and 7-14 overall.
Aaron Jacob led the Aggies with 19 points, shooting 5-of-7 from the field and hitting two three-pointers while grabbing two rebounds. Reggie Prudhomme contributed 13 points, while Lavell Brodnex recorded a double-double, scoring 12 points and collecting 11 rebounds. Jaden Juarez added 14 points, shooting 5-of-9 from the field.
Cameron will look to bounce back in its next conference matchup against Texas A&M International at Aggie Gym Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
CU women fall
DENTON, Texas—Cameron women continue to struggle getting the offensive attack going and that was the case Saturday as powerful Texas Women’s University rolled to a 90-38 victory.
TWU is now 21-1 overall and 14-1 in the Lone Star Conference. Cameron is still looking for its first LSC win.
Kloe Heidebrecht led the Aggies with 12 points, shooting 4-of-9, including two three-pointers. Grace Alverson added 8 points and Shamica Smith contributed 7 points and 9 rebounds.
Shooting woes continue to hinder the CU women as they hit 23.1 percent from the field and 18.8 percent from long range.
