A Lawton man is in jail following an Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) bust regarding an inappropriate relationship with a juvenile.
Jean Paul LaRue, 42, was arrested Wednesday and booked into the Comanche County Detention Center for charges filed that day in Caddo County.
The investigation into LaRue began Aug. 14 when Cache police requested the OSBI’s assistance looking into allegations of lewd or indecent proposals made to a minor, according to the OSBI. Following a comprehensive investigation, it was learned LaRue had engaged in inappropriate communications and had made physical contact with a minor on multiple occasions.
While this is an ongoing investigation, felony charges of rape by instrumentation and two counts of lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16 were filed in Caddo County.
In a statement, the OSBI wanted to thank the Cache Police Department, Comanche County Sheriff’s Office, Carnegie Police Department, Lawton Police Department, and Fort Sill Criminal Investigations Division for assisting with this investigation.
“Protecting our youth throughout Oklahoma is critical for the OSBl, as well as their partnering agencies,” the OSBI stated.
