Jim Bomboy tipped the scale at 776 last week with games from the Suburban league of 270, 249, and 257 to top the series charts. Not far behind at 756 was Joseph Spires of the same league, put-ting together games of 255, 265, and 236.
Steve O’Harris had the potential to give them a run after starting his set with a 277, but carry fell short, and games of 210 and 225 left him to round out the league’s 700 club for the night with a 712.
Meanwhile, up the road at Thunderbird Lanes where the TNT league was in action, James Ray was the night’s best player with games of 233, 279, and 246 for a 758 while pulling sub duty for a vaca-tioning Richard Jacoby.
The Tuesday Night Mixed report showed Dave McDermott with a super 746 on games of 279, 212, and 255, taking the lead from Jason Olnes who rolled a 706 this week on a near triplicate set that went 234, 236, and 236.
Mike Jones of the Goodyear league rolled the high game of the week, a 289, the result of front ten strikes. Jones led with games of 258 and 193 before the strike-fest started, giving him a 740 for totals.
Robert Copeland posted a 740 as well, his in the Early Birds league on games of 279, 205, and 256.
Chad Perry was in the zone with 238, 266, and 224 for a 728, and congrats go out to Terri Williams for a 255 game off a 151 average. This league also welcomed first-year adult league bowler Billy Smith, who joined the Honor Roll with a 257 game.
Youth Highlights
Jake Croft started the day with a 258 for the high game of the day in the Legends league at Thunder-bird Lanes, but series honors went to Peyton Smith with a 597 made up of games of 180, 201, and 216.
DJ Scott continued his reign in the TBird HotShots, scoring 181, 157, and 149 for a 487.
No-Tap News
Results from the Nov. 15 Senior No-Tap show Rick Olson with the high numbers of the day, taking first place in both the handicap and scratch divisions. Olson had games of 266, 229, and wrapped it up with a 290, 11 in a row, for a 785 scratch, 839 with handicap, totals for series. Tony Faustner grabbed second in handicap with an 806, and Steve Jester settled in at third with an 804. John Rob-erts finished in second in scratch with 738, and Faustner placed third in scratch with a 731.
Mystery Doubles winners included Gary Schmeiding and Teri Jester with a 575 for game one, and Lee Brown with Cleo Travis, who won game two with a 518 and also game three but with a 558. Strike pot winners were Scott Brenke, Tony Faustner, James Halstead, Steve Jester, Michael Sneed, and Rick Olson, but no one was able to conquer any of the Special Challenge shots.
We will have results from the Nov. 22nd event next week, and just an FYI, the event will be happening this coming Friday, Nov. 29th, if you would like to work off some of that Thanksgiving feast. The sen-ior 9-pin No-Tap Colorama starts at 1 pm at Thunderbird Lanes and is open to anyone 50 years or older with a verifiable current average.
