DUNCAN, OK — The Chisholm Trail Arts Council has scheduled its Live Concert Series for 2024-2025 season.

The series will kick off Oct. 15 with The Fretliners, a band that shares profound original and some bluegrass covers, said Darcy Reeves, executive director of the Chisholm Trail Arts Council.

Sam Parks, a Duncan native, will be performing on the mandolin. His Colorado bandmates are Tom Knowlton on guitar, Dan Andree on fiddle and Taylor Shuck on bass. According to an article from the Colorado Bluegrass Music Society about the band, The band has recently won nationwide competitions and has sold out show after show.

World-renowned fiddle player Kyle Dillingham will return to the stage and kick off the night at 7 p.m. The show will be sponsored by Edwards Jones and Duncan Area Economic Development Foundation.

Dec. 6, Duncan Regional Hospital Health and Bank of Commerce are the major sponsors for Tomáseen Folley’s A Celtic Christmas.

In the hearth are stories, music, songs, and dances from the rich treasury of Ireland’s cultural heritage. Reeves said the audience will be able to spend an evening with native Irish storyteller Tomáseen Foley and some of the most gifted Celtic musicians, dancers and singers performing.

The Feb. 7, 2025, show is Taste of Oklahoma Talent, featuring performances by cellist Sam Kahre and visual artist/painter Kyle Trudelle, saxophonist Jermaine Mondaine, and a vocal trio from Oklahoma City recently seen on “The Voice”: Kenna Fields, Sierra Sikes, and Courtney Hooker. The sponsors are First Bank & Trust and St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.

CTAC’s final concert of the season is April 19, 2025, featuring Paperback Writer – The Beatles Experience. Reeves said that with outstanding vocals, this band will take its audience on a trip through the musical years of the world’s most famous rock group ever, from the “Ed Sullivan Show” through the Sgt. Pepper’s years and more. The sponsor is ARVEST Bank.

All shows will be held at the Simmons Center Theater 800 Chisholm Trail Parkway in Duncan, and doors open at 7 p.m. for general seating. Tickets may be purchased online at https://chisholmtrailarts.com/programs/ctac-live/, by calling (580) 252-4160, or by visiting the Chisholm Trail Arts Council at 810 W Walnut, Duncan.
