DUNCAN — A 36-year-old Stephens County man has waived his preliminary hearing and entered a not guilty plea to allegations he sexually abused a 5-year-old girl.
On Thursday, Lowell Eldon Miller III, of Comanche, pleaded not guilty in Stephens County District Court to a felony charge of sexual abuse of a child under 12, records indicate.
The girl’s mother, who reported to Duncan police, said her daughter told her that Miller inappropriately touched her. The girl told police Miller “keeps touching me and it hurts sometimes,” the probable cause affidavit states. There was another incident where another juvenile saw Miller leaning over the girl while she was lying in bed.
In a forensic interview, the girl said Miller wouldn’t stop touching her when she asked, the affidavit states. She also said Miller likes to play with his camera while he touches her, according to the detective.
Following a search warrant Miller’s electronic devices were seized as evidence, according to the affidavit.
Miller has been held on $100,000 bond since his initial court appearance May 29. He is scheduled to begin trial during the January 2025 jury trial docket.
