St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church will hold its annual Back to School Fair today at the church, 1504 N.H. Jones Avenue.
The fair, set from 5 to 8 p.m., will offer free food and drink, games, backpacks and school supplies to participants. In addition, a medical team will be available to give athletic physicals and several barbers are volunteering to give free hair cuts for students. Church officials say the fair is a free community event that is open to every student.
In addition, a parent information meeting will be held from 4-5 p.m. in the church sanctuary. The meeting will be facilitated by administrators and counselors from Lawton Public Schools.
