A Comanche County jury came to a split decision Tuesday in the trial of a man who was accused of raping three teen runaways in October 2021.
Anthony (Antony) Dimitri Turner, 35, of Lawton, was on trial in Comanche County District Judge Jay Walker’s courtroom for felony charges of first-degree rape, second-degree rape, lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16 and sexual battery.
The jury found Turner not guilty of the two rape counts but did find him guilty of the lewd acts and sexual battery charges, recommending two 15 year prison sentences.
The girls testified that Turner picked them up at a convenience store and after giving them a ride to a friend’s house, brought them to his house at 1610 NW Ferris and then to a liquor store before returning. He was accused of getting one of the girls drunk and having sex with her twice. A 17-year-old girl said she’d also become drunk and claimed Turner touched her inappropriately while she was vomiting.
The youngest teen, 14, also said she’d been given alcohol and that Turner had sex with her on the couch.
