Preparations for the 25th Gridiron All-Sports Golf Tournament are almost complete. The only business remaining is to complete the field that will assemble at the Lawton County Club on Monday for the popular golf outing.
Lawton Athletic Foundation board members were informed that there is still room for five teams but team captains need to act immediately. The $500 entry fee per team includes range access, cart, refreshments during the round and plenty of food and drinks on the course.
At this late date, team captains need to contract LPS Athletic Administrative Assistant Anita Brown at (580) 512-6039 or email her at [email protected]. Team captains can also scan the QR code that accompanies this story, fill out the form and submit it to complete your entry. Teams will be accepted in the order they are submitted, so act fast to insure a spot in the field.
Teams can play in the 8 a.m. session or play in the afternoon session that begins at 1 p.m.
Committee members have also announced that there will be a $10,000 hole-in-one prize up for grabs for the first ace on ALL five par-3 holes at the LCC layout. In addition, there will be prizes for the closest to the pin on all the par-3 holes and a long drive prize.
