CARNEGIE — A Monday night wreck west of Carnegie that killed a woman and hospitalized a man is under investigation by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
A Dodge Durango containing Chastity D. Clark and Justin L. Dirickson wrecked shortly before 9:45 p.m. on Oklahoma 9, one mile west of Carnegie, Trooper Bryson Sherlin reported.
Clark, 48, of Mountain View, and Dirickson, 39, of Carnegie, were both flown to OU Trauma in Oklahoma City where Clark was pronounced dead due to her injuries. Her body was transported to the Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s office in Oklahoma City for autopsy.
Dirickson was admitted in fair condition with back, leg and internal trunk injuries, according to the report.
The cause of the wreck, and who was driving, is under investigation.
