The nonprofit organization, All About Understanding, is hosting its 4th annual End of School Bash from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at 501 SW University Drive.
Glen Gatling, executive director of the nonprofit, said the event started during the pandemic.
“The first reason, we wanted to celebrate (the kids) making it through a tough year in school,” Gatling said. “The second reason is we’re always looking to fill the gaps. So many organizations and businesses do back-to-school bashes, so we do end-of-school bashes.”
Gatling said they also do the bash to celebrate the kids and offer backpacks and school supplies in case they go to summer school or back to school in the fall.
Gatling said that since the event will be indoors, there will still be carnival games such as a giant Connect Four, a giant ring toss and trivia games.
The event is free and open to the public.
