OKLAHOMA CITY – A former soldier pleaded guilty Thursday to sexually abusing someone while stationed at Fort Sill.
Jessie Solomon Dunnaway, 23, of Georgia, pleaded guilty in the U.S. Western District Court to a federal felony charge of sexual abuse, according to U.S. Attorney Robert J. Troester.
“Today, Dunnaway pleaded guilty, and admitted to sexually abusing the victim without their consent,” he said.
A federal grand jury charged Dunnaway with the charge on March 9, 2023.
According to the indictment, on Nov. 3, 2019, while stationed at Fort Sill Military Installation, Dunnaway sexually abused another person stationed at the military base while the person was incapable of appraising the nature of the conduct.
Dunnaway faces up to life in prison, a fine of up to $250,000, and term of supervised release of up to life upon sentencing. Sentencing should be within the next 90 days.
This case is the result of an investigation by the Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division. Assistant U.S. Attorney Tiffany Edgmon is prosecuting the case, Troester said.
