WHAT: All Gourd Dance Powwow to honor and recognize Cornel Pewewardy and his wife Nocona Pewewardy for their service to the Comanche Nation and its members. Public is welcome. All organizations and princesses are invited. The event is sponsored by family and friends and numerous relatives and tribal members.
WHERE: Watchetaker Hall at the Comanche Nation Tribal Complex, 9 miles north of Lawton.
WHEN: 4 to 10 p.m. Friday.
HEAD STAFF: Wallace Coffey, master of ceremonies; Alex Santos Sr., singer; LaNeal Pewewardy, man dancer; JoNeda Sage, lady dancer; Larney Haungooah and Sierra Silverhorn, arena directors; George Gonzalez, security; Comanche Nation Princess Bluesky Tosee and Junior Princess Arlene Schonchin, special invitation.
MEAL: Potluck meal served from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. All donations for the meal appreciated. Raffles and cake walk will be on going thru out the event Any donations for the cakewalk and raffles items also appreciated.
CRAFT VENDORS: Setup for $10.
