Youth artists will show their skills at the 2024 Youth Art Expo from 4-7 p.m. Saturday at Cameron Baptist Church, 2621 SW C.
The Great 580, in partnership with Promotion Media Group and Sentry Roofing, will host the event.
Jeff Elbert, president and founder of The Great 580, said second- to 12th graders will participate. Each participant will have a booth displaying their artwork. They will have an opportunity to compete with other students and buy art. There also will be a gallery set up, which will display their artwork and give students a chance to discuss their work. Local business owners and leaders will judge booth spaces for a chance to win prizes.
Visual art will include photography, sculptures, paintings, drawings, digital media, and more.
Elbert said the expo will raise funding for testing vouchers for the Adult Basic Program at Great Plains Technology Center. The Program helps adults get their GED and offers English Language Learners (ELL) classes.
Anybody in the area is welcome to attend and compete. The expo is open to the public. For more information, contact Jeff Elbert at (580) 704-6374.
