ELGIN — Maintenance work on tolling equipment by the Oklahoma Department of Transportation will affect drivers who need to exit or enter Interstate 44 at Elgin on Thursday.
Northbound I-44/H.E. Bailey Turnpike off-ramp will be closed at U.S. 277/Oklahoma 17/Eighth Street (mile marker 53) in Elgin from 9 a.m. to noon. The detour option is northbound I-44/H.E. Bailey Turnpike to U.S. 62 (mile marker 46) to U.S. 277 to Elgin.
Southbound I-44/H.E. Bailey Turnpike on-ramp will be closed at U.S. 277 in Elgin (mile marker 53) from noon to 4 p.m. The detour option is U.S. 277 to U.S. 62 to I-44.
ODOT is advising motorists to plan their route ahead of time.
