DUNCAN — Already out on bond for an April 2023 case for domestic abuse allegations, a Duncan man is wanted for continuing the pattern with the same woman, according to police.

A felony arrest warrant was issued Thursday in Stephens County District Court for Delondre Davon Stevenson, 30, for kidnapping and two counts of domestic abuse — assault and battery, records indicate. The kidnapping charge is punishable by up to 20 years in prison.

A Feb. 25 domestic violence call sent Duncan Police Officer Riley Hobbs to 117 W. Hackberry where he met with Stevenson’s girlfriend. She said things began around 2 a.m. the day before when they got into a physical altercation, the warrant affidavit states.

She said she’d gone to the casino and Stevenson stayed home and watched her children the evening of Feb. 23. While out, she said he called and texted around 50 times telling her to come back home, the affidavit states. She told Hobbs he later came to the casino, took her phone and ran out, leaving the parking lot at a high rate of speed.

When she arrived home later, she said, Stevenson was asleep in their bedroom and when she changed her clothes to take a shower, he got up, got in her face and began yelling at her, according to the affidavit. When she tried to walk out of the room, she said, he kept her inside for around 30 minutes.

When she tried to force her way out of the bedroom, she said, he put her in a headlock for about 10 minutes while he cursed at her, Hobbs stated. He pushed her down to the ground when he finally released her, according to the affidavit. The woman showed Hobbs scratching and bruising to her neck and arm.

Later on Feb. 24, she said, she went to a restaurant with her daughter and some work friends when Stevenson began texting and calling her but she ignored them. When she got home, she said, Stevenson began yelling at her again and when she tried to ignore him, he grabbed her hair and slapped the back of her head while telling her, “You bring this upon yourself,” the affidavit states.

Hobbs noted that Stevenson is out on $25,000 bond for an April 2023 felony case of domestic abuse — assault and battery, second and subsequent. The charge involves the same woman.

Stevenson has a January 2018 felony conviction in Stephens County for domestic assault and battery resulting in great bodily harm, records indicate. He received a 10-year deferred sentence.
