The Lawton Public Library will hold a Healthy Brain, Healthy Mind class from 11:45-12:45 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays from March 14-26 at the HC King Center, 1705 NW 20th.
According to a press release, Tarin Clark, an Education Specialist with the Oklahoma Health Aging Initiative, will be presenting the class.
The release said the class will help older adults understand the many ways they can maintain a healthy brain. Through more than a dozen methods, such as establishing good habits and routines, physical activity and nutrition, participants can learn how to improve their physical and mental health.
The release said participants can walk away with tools for setting goals and finding success, engaging in healthy activities, identifying signs of stress and depression, thriving v. getting by and much more.
