ANADARKO — Business committee candidates have been announced for the upcoming general election for the Apache Tribe of Oklahoma.
The election will be held March 16, according to Raquel Wildes, election board secretary.
Candidates are:
•Chairman: Durrell Cooper and Kevin Rivera
•Vice Chairman: Matthew Tselee, Christopher Whitewolf and Crystal Pewo-Lightfoot
•Secretary/Treasurer: Ruth Wetselline Bert and Dustin Cozad
•Committee Member: Donald Komardley, Amber Archilta, Angel Carattini, and Felepia Banderas.
Eligible voters have until 4 p.m. Friday to request absentee ballots.
If you are not a resident of the established polling districts which include Anadarko, Apache and Fort Cobb, you will need to vote by absentee ballot.
You may request an absentee ballot by writing to Apache Tribal Election Board, P.O. Box 70, Anadarko, OK 73005; or by emailing [email protected]; or by calling 405-659-8805.
Request for absentee ballots must be made by the eligible voter themselves and it is the responsibility of the voter to make sure your address is current.
All absentee ballot requests must be received in the office on or before Friday to ensure that the voting material will be returned promptly.
