ANADARKO — A Caddo County man accused of lewd conduct with a young relative that included grooming is now in jail on $250,000 bond.
Logan David Palmer 38, of Hydro, made his initial appearance Wednesday in Caddo County District Court where he received a felony charge of lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16, records indicate. An arrest warrant was issued Feb. 6.
Investigators received a cybertip on Jan. 17 from the Internet Crimes Against Children task force regarding Palmer sending inappropriate photos to the 15-year-old girl through Facebook Messenger, the probable cause affidavit states. It was learned the photo was sent on Dec. 25, 2023, Caddo County Sheriff’s Deputy Tom Adkins stated.
The deputy also “noticed several conversations that, based on my experience and training, would be considered ‘grooming’ and also very inappropriate …” the affidavit states.
Due to prior felony convictions in Caddo County for DUI in July 2010, and first-degree arson is March 2017, Palmer faces between 20 years to life in prison if convicted.
Palmer returns to court at 9 a.m. May 2 for his preliminary hearing conference, records indicate.
